Learning Digital Painting - with mouse

Now that my introduction speech is done, let's move on to the things that matter. After a bit of fiddling with some slow, rough sketching done with a mouse -

I finally moved over to some colored drawings-

Making drawings like these was a lot of fun as it was somewhat a challenge to paint with a mouse. But it did the job of helping me understand the basics of digital painting and getting hang of GIMP - the free equivalent of Adobe Photoshop.

So once again I have somehow convinced my mind to update this blog. It has been quite a long time since I thought of sharing something here, almost an year. A lot has changed in the last year, about how I think of the cosmos and of course the art of drawing that I cherish so much. So along the same lines I would like to update some of the things which I drew in all that time, starting with the technique of painting digitally which intrigued me last year and is continuing to do so. I will try to post them chronologically so that I can gauge my progress.

Some new Stuff I doodled recently.. Reading and getting to know about a lot of different drawing techniques and styles. Trying to break away the limitations my drawings have. Most importantly learning to "see" better.
